A Message From Our Founder
Growing up in Chicago, I didn’t always see people who looked like me choosing the right path. Positive role models weren’t easy to find, and safe spaces to dream big weren’t always there. When that’s missing, it’s easy for young people to feel lost—or to follow what’s around them instead of what’s possible.
That’s why I started Chicago Emerging Stars—because I wanted to be what I didn’t have. I wanted to build something where young people could feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise above their circumstances.
This isn’t just an organization. It’s a movement fueled by purpose, love, and the belief that every young person is a star waiting to shine.
